Sound + Light Museum
Sound + Light is a museum exploring the sound and light of Architecture and the City. It is inspired from the transition of walking from a noisy and bright city street into a quiet and dim church. Such a transition awakens the senses, and cleanses the experiential palette. The slat tectonic of this museum is a method through which a variety of different experiential qualities can be achieved. While the majority of the slats are stationary, the museum features four rooms which allow for the slats to change height, allowing the experience of the room to be tailored to the visiting exhibit. One of the four rooms is a sound and light observatory, where the visitor can change the slats and observe the shifts in the acoustic and luminescent quality.

A preliminary draft of this project, as part of a "Supercharette" competition within the studio, won the first place prize.
